The Key Tip:
Place your PCI (Plate Coverage Indicator) at MLB The Show 25 Stubs the exact spot where the pitcher releases the ball.
Place your PCI (Plate Coverage Indicator) at MLB The Show 25 Stubs the exact spot where the pitcher releases the ball.
This is your visual anchor. Don't overthink tracking the ball from glove to plate - instead:
1. Find the release point (usually slightly above the pitcher's head or near the shoulder).
2. Place your PCI there at the start of every pitch.
3. Watch for when the ball lines up perfectly with the pitcher's body - that's your ideal timing window for a perfect swing.
4. Practice this rhythm over and over.
5. You're training your muscle memory and pitch visualization.

Pro Tip: Timing > Movement
Even if your PCI isn't perfectly aligned with the pitch location, good timing beats bad PCI most of the time. If you're reading the release point and timing your swing when the ball crosses the pitcher's body, your hits will get cleaner.
Try various pitch types:
Sinker
Cutter
Slider
Changeup

As long as it's down the middle, apply the same concept: track the pitch until it lines up with the body, then swing.
Bonus Training: Inside Pitch Timing
Inside pitches are faster and harder to read. Here's a trick:
Against right-handed pitchers, watch their left shoulder.
As soon as the ball passes that off-hand shoulder, that's your timing window for inside fastballs.
You can set this up in Custom Practice by choosing the inside pitch location and cheap MLB The Show 25 Stubs practicing Four-Seam Fastballs or Sinkers.
