NBA 2K23 discussion has been buzzing on social media lately, with NBA ratings falling this week. Kevin Durant even took at playful joking after his 2K rating was released. On the week prior to the game's release, we spoke to Ronnie Singh aka Ronnie 2K on the decision to put MJ onto the covers, instead of LeBron and the reason why Devin Booker was selected over other NBA stars, MyCareer, ProAm, gameplay, and more.
As someone who's apart of the process, what is your biggest excitement about in NBA 2K23? Well, having the honor of putting Jordan as the front cover of the book is always thrilling and working alongside him, and the declaration that tells us about our game: the best of all time. It speaks volumes about what we're trying to create from a commercial perspective but then also for what the game's potential will become.
We're seeing the Jordan challenges. They're they're back, but they're larger. Better. There's been plenty of buzz about about, each and every one of them, but the one that's likely be very emotional and the one i'm most anticipating going back to and revisiting is Kobe. The first match up against one another. It's sure to be fun. I'm a massive MyTeam player, so I was quite excited to more contracts and triple threat online co-op.
You guys recently announced J. Cole having his own cover. What was the reason and what was the reason? Cole said 'Ronnie I'd love to be in MyCareer and help you to think about the concept of that.I worked with our team on bringing this to life but it was very fitting to work alongside J. Cole. But I'm happy that it's called the Dreamer Edition, because it was like one of those dreams which came true over the course of several years. It took quite a while for this to come to happen.
Evidently, his inclusion in the basketball scene and playing abroad and doing a large number of things in the basketball world. That's why you can see it was a fantasy that was realized, and I am so thrilled that it lets us live in the world of fashion, culture, music which 2K enjoys a seat at the table now.
Do you think this could be an issue now, with covers? A non-athlete, an actor, or another rapper?
Well we're beginning to live in areas that don't only play basketball or aren't just video games. Therefore, I think it's possible as we grow in the global cultural landscape and where it may lead us, who knows? Right? There is a lot of talk about how musicians wish to become athletes, the athletes would like to be musicians. It is my intention to emphasize that you shouldn't post any more questions in this thread. And even if you do, you shouldn't expect to get a response as I'm not in the process of opening the floodgates and press the guy. I'm basically trying to keep my feet on the line here and emphasize the information that he's given without saturating it with Buy NBA 2K MT every single random question that pops up.
